Tbolts and hairspray.... yeah hairspray ;)

Aquanet on everything from motorcycle grips, to charge pipe couplers to even using it on drag radials when mounting the tires to the wheels with out beadlocks. shit really does work.

Thank you, I will most likely order this.
Just want to make sure, the silicon that comes with FTP is 2.5-3 for the diameter correct?
Yep they’re all the same

Yes, there's someone here who has posted pictures of their setup with a longer coupler and 2 T-bolts on each side to finally fix their boost leak issues. Honestly I wouldn't bother with a charge pipe unless you're going big turbo or new manifold (which moves the throttle body and requires a new charge pipe to bolt up). If you do decide to get a charge pipe for whatever reason, swap out the garbage worm clamps for T-bolts, and if you still have boost leak issues, get a longer coupler and double up on T-bolts.

That would be me. It’s fool proof now. The couplers and clamps were crap that came with my pipes… longer Vibrant couplers for the win!! I posted a comparison of the old one vs Vibrant. The ones that come with the charge pipes are just way too short…. Mine blew off after the first WOT…. And yes, charge pipes are waste of money. I did it for the shiny finish…. Lol ?

Reviving a bit of an old thread here... I think we may have the same chargepipe. Just did my install today and to my disappointment there seems to be an intermittent fairly untraceable boost leak somewhere. It's been building boost no problem and holding it, but for some runs I had a pretty audible squeak/wheeeeeee noise. Later in the day now it's gone (self-clearanced? lol), and I only get a short squeak now on blow-off when there's a sharp drop in pressure. I'm chasing ghosts trying to find out where it might be coming from, and I found a bunch of threads on these couplers being a common issue.

At the risk of blowing more money for a part I didn't even really need in the first place, would you mind telling me what coupler you got from Vibrant and what T clamps you got? Also, which charge pipe do you have?

I basically got some generic ones. You need to measure your diameter on your charge pipe to make sure they will fit the couplers. I believe 2.5-3.0 couplers will work. Somewhere in that range. As far as t bolt clamps, you gotta find one that is in the clamp range for your diameter of piping. I would say 2.5” to 2.75” range

Charge pipes were from China (Alibaba) from back in 2020. They are now rebranded to many different companies in the USA. One is VR racing.

Not a Corvette.
I might be getting lucky or this "issue" is overblown, no pun intended.

I have 1732 laps and 41.7 hours of track time on my OEM charge pipe. Car has a Pure 700 and has seen 30psi out the top of the rev range.

The P2uned version is a solid choice for a coupler.

The stock charge pipe is just fine for most tuned applications. But we don’t buy these cars to leave them stock.

Absolutely. Not doing it for power but more so for the factory charge pipe not breaking
It's only an issue on gen 1s. We don't suffer this problem.

There is absolutely no reason to change the chargepipe until you need to change the chargepipe, i.e. meth, nitrous, intake manifold, change turbo placement.

The factory location turbos aren't going to break this thing.
