Update: I just received the product. Just need to figure out how to disassemble the centre console to get it installed. I thought I would be able to remove the shifter boot to access to plug, but I guess not.

Update: there is no plug under there that matches the disabler. It looks like there’s a different plug for the section of buttons that includes the auto stop/start.

Fortunately, the console was easy to disassemble and took less than 10 minutes.

I am mildly disappointed lmao

I’ve had Auto Start/Stop memory coded into my MY 24 since 2024 January and it still works

I also have 2024, coded it off in Feb 2025.

About 6 months later it stopped working all of a sudden. Car's never been to a dealer since I bought it. Tried recoding a dozen times, but doesn't work.

I'm convinced they started OTA updates.

Also, I believe there is a hardware kit floating around that may be able to remove the start/stop feature.

I clearly didn't say it was possible. I said it might be. And as I have it coded and had no vested interest, I was merely providing others with an avenue for research. The item I linked to was for a different BMW model but I thought it was a good place to start, should someone be looking at a hardware solution.

Sorry for trying to help. ?

He’s referring to the software being updated that causes this coding to no longer work. Or, at least, that’s what I would be referring to.
Well, it happened.
Had to take the car in for an A/C issue which was fixed under warranty. Sure enough they performed the DCM update and now my start/stop coding is gone.
I'll try to reprogram through Bimmer but I'm not holding my breath. Until then, I'll "PRESS THE BUTTON".

ARRRGH.
