So after waiting over 2 months, I just got told KW is backed up and my suspension wont be done for ANOTHER 2 months. I really want the DDC but at this point, I may have to look for other options.

Swift Springs and AWE Exhaust installed. The exhaust may be touching somewhere I missed because Im getting a really bad resonance in the upper RPM range, so Ill get it back on the lift later this week and check it out. Car is dirty but wanted to post a decent update.

build looks amazing! is your ecu locked? or is it one of the tunable 2021's, I also have the AWE touring "resonated" (vibrants) exhaust and it is awesome paired with a catless downpipe, All I need now is some wheels!

Thanks!

I honestly havent checked but Id assume its not tunable based on when i bought it (mid 2021). Ill tune it eventually but im not in a hurry to do it.

Got a helmet for AutoX & HPDE and I barely fit with it on (I'm 6'2") so now I'm looking at seats. Im thinking about going all out and getting the new Recaro Podiums:

If anyone has them Id love to know more!

Havent updated in a while.

Finally got the KW's installed.... and I am rubbing, badly in the rear. Started another thread about it but it gained no traction. Talked to BC whos surprised, they have lots of sets with the same offset/tires and even guys on bags, and none of them rub in the rear.

I ended up having to raise the rear to deal with it, but it still rubs over bigger bumps. Got an alignment in case that was it, but the rear camber is not adjustable and was at -2.5, I cant imagine ill need more, but I ordered SPL arms anyways so we can try it. Hopefully i dont have to go crazy with camber to get these to fit. I guess worst case I could go down to a 295...

Other than the camber arms, not much on the way. I think the wife got me some small stuff for xmas, we will find out soon. Trying to decide what to do next, but the rear rubbing issue has me kind of down on the car.

Anyways, heres some pics of me installing the suspension as well as some wash/show pics. Enjoy!

Damn you. I could’ve lived on happily and never known about these but now that I see them I want them. They only weigh 5.9 kilos. That’s a massive weight savings and they look damn good.

Right? Theyre freaking expensive, but the stock seats are SO boring, and i need the headroom.

I am all for you getting those and uploading photos and telling us how awesome they are so that I can convince myself to also get a pair. They look incredible!

Have you seen the Recaro Pro Racer RMS in fiberglass (pictured above)? It was a Japan-only seat at one point, I was told, but it looks like a bunch of North American distributors have them now as well. There's a carbon version but I think it's over $5,000 USD each. The fiberglass RMS model costs $2,200 USD and is claimed to weigh 12.7lb each, while the Podium weighs a claimed 13lb and goes for $3,500 USD each.

My hold-up is that I've looked at both seats and really don't like how the normal three-point street belts work with them - the female end isn't ever pictured reaching through the side opening on the shell, so people are just latching the belt over the bolsters and it looks kinda sketchy... but maybe it's not? It shows them through the opening in the photo of the Podiums you posted, but not in real life; that's photoshop, not an actual photo. I have zero desire to live full-time with a harness.
