FBO and catless on DAW we did 480whp on 93 and 565 on E35. tuned by Sam. This is a91-mt. For reference. Was hoping for closer to 600 whp but was told Sam didn’t think it was a good idea for anything above 35 or he saw potential knock or some thing. Car pulls smooth and strong all the way to redline in 2nd 3rd and 4th.
That is really all that matters. As long as you are happy with the results and the car feels good.

Sometimes I ask a question: What's more important a number or reliability and how the car feels? I would believe that most anyone that follows this thread, would want the first and last. Why? Because its bragging rights..... ;)

I don't want to hate on DAW or your numbers. I'm currently running an ots and a catless dp with an intake + resonator delete. I'm planning on going with remnant once I have enough money. However, I've seen people with full FBO getting 530-520 whp on 93 with pure 850 on a 2020 supra. and 2021+ getting somewhere around 540-530ish whp. I know DAW is one of the more quality and is more consistent, but isn't 480whp on 93 low for a turbo upgrade? you can push 480 or even 500whp with just a catless dp and E.
Results all vary. Dyno numbers are just numbers.

Heres a 93 car that made 550 whp on a daw.

Yes sir. I have been talking to him through PM for the past few weeks. Trying to figure out his Visconti LPFP and relay issue. I believe he has it narrowed down. Super nice guy!

Do you have a screenshot or log of the boost on that pull? Just curious how the heads flows with a larger turbine, and whether you had to continue ramping boost to maintain that flat torque curve past 6k

You are the second one to ask me something similar. Sorry man I did not think about doing a log until after I did the final pull. I asked the shop owner, what he saw on my P3 Gauge for the boost psi. He said, "Man, I didn't even look over that way. I was looking at the computer on the wall and the car's cluster." Is this something that Botti might could answer for you in the tune?

Now these are better looking results. However I still prefer Remnant or pure850 result. Because with FBO you can achieve these numbers. This is using PI and an LPFP. However, these are phenomenal results.

Yes sir he had very good results. After I posted my results on the dyno, I went back and looked at the logs from the final revision from Botti. My street file versus dyno results were slightly different. Torque was up to 567 as compared to what the dyno showed. Which is more reliable? lol. I will always go with the higher result. lol. ?

Are you looking at the torque in the datalog as reported from the ECU? If so, that is not 1:1 with what the car is actually doing. It's a torque request. Many factors can skew it wildly.

Also it's in Nm unless you switched it to lb/ft.

It’s the torque request. That’s why I said I will always go with the higher number. Lol. I know it’s not 1:1, but I was just being funny ?.
It’s measured in NM, but when compared to ft. Pounds, it was 566.7. Again it was the torque request. ??

@_Sp1ral0ut guaranteed me two weeks though.
Give the guy two weeks - he'll cave. Look - I didn't want to put this out there directly. But, I found my old Captain Crunch decoder ring in a box in the closet. I decided to give it a shot and decoded some posts on IG for the DAW UF. The message read "daw ultra T51424. hoter thn a t kettle. n 2wks" For a while I wasn't sure if it was true, but now I know I am right.

Update:

Purchased the ATS Stage 2 clutch kit. Had it installed locally. Reached out to Rod from Sutphin Tuning, and he has sent some tune files for the tranny. Emailed Botti and he has finalized my tune for the setup that I have currently, with the increased torque. I told him to send it. :)

Car has been great, minus a oil leak from the clamp on the turbo. I am hoping that I receive my oil restrictor from Shawn very soon. He stated it was very common.

Hoping to post updated dyno graphs/video soon. Just the weather has been cold here and awaiting some warmer streets and do a few 60-130s....

If any of you are on the fence about having your auto trans built, I would not hesitate in doing it over again. It has some much needed firmer shifts, especially second and fifth gear. Cost me around $7900 for everything locally. Plus $425 from Rod for his tune file.

Overall no major issues with this setup for the past 3 months or so, minus the small oil leak.

After the local shop completed the work, they had to reprogram it back to the car. The owner drove it around for about 30 miles or so to break it in, and ensure no drivability issues. I picked it up a few days later, based on our scheduling. The car was ready to go. I could tell that second and fifth gear was definitely much harsher. It is not overwhelming and annoying but anyone who rides with me, immediately notices it.

I drove the car around, to and from work to allow it to break in. No hard downshifts or excessive upshifts. Just driving it, so the car could relearn the original XHP flash, stage 3. After 2-3 days of normal driving, I contacted Rod from Sutphin. He emailed me back pretty quickly, being so busy. I filled out the contact form, what mods, size of tires, and turbo, etc., and he sent me a file right over. He did explain very specifically what I needed to to break it in even further. Here is what he told me:

Supra Customers Instructions:
(If XHP has not been flashed to the trans, you must 1st flash Stage 0) then proceed with the following:

How to Flash the Tune File Using the XHP App:

1. Download the attached file to the device.
2. Open the XHP app and select your vehicle on the opening screen.
3. On the next screen, select "Flash This Car" at the bottom of the screen.
4. Click on the paper-looking icon on the right side of the screen.
5. Choose the custom tune file you downloaded from your email (usually located in the Downloads folder). Make sure not to select from Recent Files.
6. Tap the red "Flash" button and confirm by selecting "Yes".

Adjustment Period Driving:

1. Drive normally for 15 miles, keeping the throttle under 60%.
* Start in Drive mode, then switch to Sport and M modes for 5 miles each totaling 15 miles.
* Gradually increase throttle input to test 75% and 100%.
* Repeat this process after each transmission flashing.

Drive and Sport modes shift 7500rpm and M mode paddles 7800rpm
Please flash without MAX RPM to see if you like the shift RPM for your turbo.

The 3 following xhp settings can be used with this tuning:
1) MAX RPM SHIFTS, may be used to set the wide open throttle shift points.
2) Enable 2nd gear start if you plan to Launch with 2nd gear Sport Mode.
3) XHP Launch control, you will need to adjust to your power level. (Only use LC if you are getting too much tire spinning on launching the car in 2nd gear)
4) For better traction on the street with stock suspension use Drive Mode comfort setup (tuning is setup for it as well)

Start out with the following settings DISABLED until you have a feel for the tune then adjust the options as you need:
1) Stock Shiftmaps shift editor (Can be used to adjust normal driving shift points)
2) Gear Display (It's always on in the tuning)
3) Activate Line Pressure Bump (Should NOT be used, the tuning has a custom line pressure setup)
4) TQ limits per gear (Setup in the tune but could be changed in xhp settings if you need to)
5) TQ reduction upshifts (Is is all setup in the tuning based on several factors)
6) Blips (Can be used to set the downshifts rev match more or less aggressive)
7) Fuel Saver (causes weird shifting)
8) Drag Mode (Should NOT be used the Tuning has Race Mode option)
There are a few other xhp custom settings that I did not list and would need to be tested one at a time, for negative effects to the tuning.

I always recommend upgrading your transmission/Gearbox fluid to Adrenaline ATF SS racing fluid or Amsoil TQ drive, if you live in a Euro area use Motual ATF VI. These upgraded Fluids will help protect the clutches from the high HP/TQ of Wide Open Throttle Pulls.

Please post reviews and help spread the word about our tuning!

I told him that I wanted the car to shift at 7500, which was too high. After speaking to Botti, he said from his experience 6800 was near perfect from his research and tuning. I changed the settings from 7500 to 6800.
