I had originally purchased custom tuning and Ecutek hardware from Marin to go with the Remnant performance Omega65 turbo kit and port injection. After waiting months and not receiving even a base map I successfully disputed charges and switched to Stephen with Wedge Performance. I had a flexfuel base map and two revisions done same day we contacted Stephen. I've had a couple more revisions done since and software updates to delete some fuel tank vent stuff. Stephen has responded to every email within a business day.

The big tuners are definitely really difficult to reach. They have big projects, are on a time crunch, etc, so it kind of makes sense. It's all just word of mouth and who can convince you the most at this point.

What made you want to go through so many when you your first and even second tuner were good and experienced?

Love that building the map from Zach instead of guessing and checking. He's truly been getting glowing reviews on this forum.
One tuner, who is mentioned multiple times in this thread as being great, gave me an awful tune that resulted in tons of surging and instability. The car literally bucked around so bad under partial throttle that it would break the rear end loose through corners.

I tried to get them to fix it, but they basically just said “too bad, you paid for a tune and you got a tune.” Overall, just a really bad experience and they refused to even give a partial refund despite the car being undrivable.

The other tuner was local to me (Chicago area) and they did an “okay” job. It wasn’t terrible, but I just got the impression that they didn’t have enough experience with B58 or the interest to learn to get the drivability to where I wanted it.

Zach @CSG delivered both on power and drivability, plus it’s been reliable and a great experience working with him.

He’s tuned 3 different turbos for me now, ranging from 570whp to 900whp. Pump gas, race gas, and ethanol. Always flawless.

Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Don’t be shy. Who did you have issues with?
