Thought I would make a separate post instead of piggy backing in others posts.

Washed my car over 2 weeks ago with a power washer and sud attachment. Had the dreaded drivers switch not working the next day. Mirror on driver's side not working at all. Can't close the driver's window, display states blind spot malfunction.

Passenger side works fine. I've taken off the door card/panel, taken apart the mirror completely. I saw no moisture or any indication or water damage. I left them out in the sun etc.

I have read on here and on FB this is a common issue and usually it fixes itself after a few days. It's been 15 days now for me. Obviously I can't use the car due to not being able to close the driver's window.

My key fob will only let me unlock, hold the unlock and roll the windows down. It will NOT let me lock and hold the lock button and roll them up( this has always been the way since I got the car). Had the vehicle 2 months and maybe put 500 miles in it. It's a 2020 LE.

So, recommended action? Take it to a dealer? Replace the side view mirror/harness and switch. I can source that stuff offline. I'm just at a complete loss now what I should do!

Also just a random thought, is there possibly a master door switch fuse?

Just giving this a little bump. Hoping someone can give me some insight before I take it to a garage tomorrow to get looked at.

Hey, so I did see it was a blown f67 fuse. However, my door switches still don't work and window is still stuck in the down position 🤷
I was getting a blind spot monitor warning before, that's now gone since I replaced the fuse.
Also when I put it in reverse, the mirror would tilt down and get stuck halfway up rendering the pass side mirror useless. Now that works again, tilts in reverse and goes back to where it is supposed to be.
So, I'm still outta luck, I did pull the rest of the fuses in the pass side and all were good.
I have absolutely no clue what to do or check next. I guess only option is a mechanics shop and see if they can figure it out.

its a common/known issue...do you have aftermarket mirror cap? basically water can get behind non-sealed ill-fitted aftermarket mirror caps and will cause all if not most of your symptoms

assuming that is your problem and if it has not improved after drying it for 3 weeks, you may need to replace the mirror assembly

still got warranty?

It's well out of warranty unfortunately. So replacement mirror would be the solution?

Pardon my complete ignorance on this subject, but how would a replacement mirror make the door master switch work again???

And yes it did come with carbon mirror caps in it. I bought the vehicle used at of June this year.

So before I go and purchase another driver side mirror, can anyone explain how changing the mirror makes the door master switch work again.

I know people have had the same issue as I have and have changed the mirror and it seems to solve the problem.

I just want to make sure before spending hundreds of $$ that " should" solve my issue with the master drivers switch non functional.

******Again, I am getting no power it seems to the driver's side master switch, nothing at all works on it. My window is stuck in the down position and it's been over a month now. *****

I'd try finding the wiring diagram for the car, see what wire leading to that assembly in the door should have power. Check it with a multimeter of course and a good ground. If there is power leading to the door, you probably have a switch hardware problem. If there's no power then you go upstream to see if there's a fuse you didn't know about or an ECU that's fried. Maybe a 1-day subscription to the TIS to get a wiring diagram (and grab anything else you forecast needing for maintenance or upgrades anytime soon).

Why not skip the guessing and do a full scan to see if anything pops up?

Gotcha, yeah I think the multimeter route would be a good place to try and figure what's got power etc.

I will take it to a local mechanic and see if they can scan it for me. Honestly I wasn't sure if a scan would come up with what the issue would be tbh.

All I know is the door master switch has no power and it seems people just replaced the side view mirror as the remedy. 🤷

Which doesn't make sense to me! How is replacement of the mirror going to .make the power work on the door master switch.
