I’m curious as well. On Subarus, anything modification before the catback requires a tune or you risk running too lean.

It would end up throwing a CEL, even catted, and you wouldn't get much power gain with just doing the downpipe. If you want sound might as well just do the exhaust.

it will throw a CEL. but you can run it. give you a small bump in power as well.
Car runs fine but you will get CEL.
I recommend you pair it with Bootmod3 and take maximum advantage of the power gains and no CEL
