Dumb question, how do you disconnect the headlight connector?

Please excuse my ignorance, I know I can pull the red tab out but then I spent an hour trying to pull the connector out either side and no luck. Am I weak and have no grip strenght? My fingers hurt and this reinforces my hatred of all electrical connectors that never come out easily...

Thanks for the vid, they seem to just pull it out so easily. There is only one tab on one female end that is secured by the red tab on the male end and that's it. Literally sticking a flathead screwdriver in between too but this thing does not move an inch :(

Can't tell from this angle, but - after you pull the red tab out, is there also in that same spot a small black plastic thing that you squeeze, to release the connector itself? I feel like the red tab is a lock that keeps the black plastic thing from being squeezed, and it's that black part that needs to be pushed to actually release it.

That didn't come out well but I'm not sure how else to put it.

FWIW I think you're doing the right thing by not pulling too hard, that's a sign of it bot being free yet. If you can get a view from the other side (use a mirror?) it might make more sense.

I appreciate the advice! Took some pics of the side to see if I could get a better view to see if I missed anything. Will give it another shot tomorrow.
Took some pics of the aftermarket connector I have as well and I don't see anything that would secure it either aside from the red tab area.

I think you're right. It's been a while. Definitely in that area and freed up after the red clip is pulled.
