Stock downpipes have catalytic converters; these converters are very restrictive and rob the car from power. Replacing the stock downpipes with the Evolution Racewerks 4.5” catless downpipes will ensure maximum power. With the absence of catalytic converters, the B58 turbo can spool a lot faster and easier to achieve max HP sooner, hold HP longer and achieve max power without overworking the turbo. ER B58 catless DP is a 4.5” pipe for maximum airflow and a very deep and throaty exhaust tone. It also features a very smooth transition to the flange for minimum turbulence.
Evolution Racewerks decided to go with the 4.5” pipe for maximum air flow and power. The other option was to fabricate the standard 4.0” downpipes which transitions to 4.5” before the turbo flange. Doing so would have cost a lot less and helped release the ER catless downpipe much sooner. The cons of going with a 4.0” pipe, is the added back pressure on the turbo from the transition in the pipe. Instead Evolution Racewerks decide to build a 4.5” B58 catless downpipe for maximum power, best sound without any compromises.
The ER downpipe is offered in 3 different finishes. Brushed and polished finish are offered standard with no additional cost. Black thermal coating will cost an additional $90 and will need 1-2 weeks time for fabrication. Coating helps reducing under hood temperature for maximum performance. It is recommended for drivers looking to track their cars and push it to the limit often. Daily drivers will not need the thermal coating finish; standard finish is more than enough and is very durable.
Evolution Racewerks Toyota Supra catless downpipe is offered standard with 1 O2 bung to be used for the stock O2 sensor. If user whishes to use a wideband O2 sensor or EGT gauges, Extreme Power House also offers the option to add an additional O2 and EGT bung. Extra bungs will be capped in case user does not wish to use the extra sensors all the time.
ER B58 downpipe is compatible with stock exhaust and all the aftermarket exhausts that use stock connections.
The Evolution Racewerks catless downpipe is made in the USA for best quality DP and perfect fitment. It is offered with a limited lifetime warranty against defects and bad fitment. All hardware needed for install will be included in the box of the B58 downpipe with an install guide and checklist.
