One of the main reasons why i decided to send mine to russia instead of the JB4 option.

I was able to gain some resemblance of control by coding my Supra with the Bimmercode app. I gave the car Sport+ mode for engine and transmission. When driving in Sport+ for the engine, I get much more aggressive pops. I can flip between normal, sport, and sport+ to control this slightly.

I would love to tune mine, but cannot justify the $3500 for the unlock+Ecutek. Plus not having a working car for the weeks while my ECU is on vacation.

Im trying to get rid of them, not make more disgusting noise…Completely ruins the awesome sounds this engine/turbo make.

Well I'm just a degenerate looking to anger some soccer moms and Karens on my commute.
Going catless DP and JB4 will get me closer to that goal, but it does suck having no adjustable burbles. There are times when I want to be "sleepy" and that is just not going to be possible without going into Camry mode.

I have the biggest shit-eating grin when I downshift, but not so happy when I've had to put 2qts in the last 1000 miles. Maybe I'll grow up some day.

In the interest of not further clouding the conversation, I'd like to remain on the topic of the OBD flasher from Femto, I'd love to hear from tuners, or customers of their experience with the flasher. Curious how it stacks up as a tuning tool against the big boys like BM3, Ecutek, ETC.

IMO it doesnt stack up. Not sure who writes the tunes for Femto, but compared to Ecutek there is alot of features you dont get with a Femto tune... Flex fuel, Reflex integration, etc.... Plus you can pick any tuner you desire that uses any of the other tuning tools.

Marin is said to start tuning on fetmo. I’d trust him more than some other mainstream tuners on this platform..

Is he offering unlocks (shipped to Russia) as well? Curious if this combo is cheaper than Jesse and his Ecutek+Russia unlock package at $3500

I just wanna hear from anyone that has actually used Femto for tuning as opposed to Ecutek, BM3, ETC.

I'd hoped tuners would have chimed in by now, but you may have more luck and immediate answers with comparison on F&G bimmerforums as they've been around since 2018 or so with more volumea s opposed to Supra tunes that mainly started off with MHD, BM3...

Nothing official released yet but it’s in the works. Should be cheaper but less options than the ecutek package. It’s pretty much confirmed that Marin is willing to tune on the platform

Just been introduced to the Supra life in the last few weeks I've been digging in finding out as much as I can regarding the ECU lockdown.

Seems that everyone is crazy about shipping their ECUs to Russia just for a clone/unlock. I did some looking into the company Femto that has been doing these unlocks, and they are advertising this OBD flashing solution.
I'm so curious about it I just had to post here, have a look at this link:

Clearly they are on their way to the Supra next. Does this mean we're on the cusp of getting stock 21+ ECU flashed with Femto in our own homes? Has anyone been brave enough to buy a license? Surely it's not just me and my monkey brain who has found this out. Looking to hear from the veterans.
Very much wondering how this proprietary tuning solution will work, and what kind of power/features we will see come out of it (will it best Ecutek until a public exploit is available for the Bosch ECUs?).


Also any tuning shops need a test monkey? Looking at you @ppe @Jesse DaBears

It will be. We are pricing this at 2500 all in, with everything you need and a custom tune included

So unlock with femto, flasher, logger, custom tune, cable for flashing eith your laptop... essentially everything needed lol

Sorry for opening a new thread, but I felt it necessary as all the threads I have been monitoring do not directly talk about this topic. If admins feel it is redundant, I welcome taking it down.

All the other threads, including Jesse are just vaguely referring to what I think is this exact topic. I understand why, wouldn't want to just hand over my business plans either. Curious if this is they solution Jesse and others have alluded to.

I feel like I have read all the available threads down to the last post, and no one directly addresses this OBD flashing tool advertised by Femto. I have seen Jesse and others make references, but hard to tell if they are speaking diretly about this OBD flash, or FemTool which seems to me more of a bench flash.
