For owner who would like to extend the speed meter scale over 263kph

This is hidden one under Z4 menu.
Z4 → Instrument cluster → Expert mode → 3000 Anzeige_Konfiguration → BC_V_KORREKTUR → onhe_korrektur

Wouldn't you run out of real estate before you even hit that speed and come to a complete stop in your country?

TIL the speedometer stops at 263kph. I have a BM3 tune so I wonder if they already unlocked that since they removed the speed limiter.

No, even my Ecutek stops at 163mph and car keeps accelerating.

ECU Tune doesn't extend the scale for you. I have EcuTek and this is needed to display speed over 263kph (163mph).

Would you mind putting yours in English and post the steps again?
You are seeing the exact strings in the BimmerCode. I have BimmerCode in English.

I was wondering why when I first tried to top it off after bm3 no vmax, it stayed at 163, I got 179 on dragy, but it always stop at 163, that makes a lot more sense now

From the BimmerCODE steps provided in post #1, my research indicated that these coding steps removes the speed adjustment so the speedometer displays ther correct speed. See my BimmerCODE User Guide thread
  1. Speedometer Display correct Speed (not ¾ mph faster).
    This removes the speed adjustment so actual speed is displayed on instrument cluster.

    Main --> Instrument Cluster (DKOMBI2) + [Expert] --> 3000 ANZENGE_KONFIGURATION --> BC_V_KORREKTUR --> ohne_korrecktur (i.e. without correction)
    Main --> Instrument Cluster (DKOMBI2) + CODE
I guess this also removes the "max speed limit displayed" setting? Does anyone know what the maximum displayed speed is changed to?
I saw the same user guide at the beginning. It's very uncleared. Then I found a post in m340 forum.
They extend the scale with this coding. And it works for Supra as well.

The maximum speed displayed is 300kph for 600whp STG in my area with this change in the summer (85~92F).

It's limited to 300kph due to heat soak in my guessing. We'll have it a try in the winter.
