This is tough. I’m a movie head so I watch tons! Let me try… in no order…

1. Everything Everywhere All At Once
2. Logan
3. Malignant
4. Get Out
5. Alita: Battle Angel
6. Brightburn
7. The Batman
8. The Exorcism of Emily Rose

Sorry, I had to take advantage of the “5ish” part 😂

Thank you, a great film for New year's eve! Paul Newman, Tim Robbins, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Charles Durning are at the top of their game in this wonderful film.

I've always been puzzled about The Usual Suspects, Verbal Klimt is brought in for questioning and his recollection outlines the narrative of the film - so far, so good.
But then when he leaves the police station the police detective realises that his story is based on articles in his office.
So, if the story Verbal Klimt has given is made up of articles in the interviewing room it is all a work of fiction and nothing in the story happened. So there was no crime in the first place and no reason to interview Verbal Klimt - the whole story falls apart!

I think this is a pretty good explanation, not the entire story , but a snippet
Hope it helps
The Unreliable Narrator
Verbal Kint is what’s known in classic storytelling form as the unreliable narrator. Think: Tony Soprano or Holden Caulfield in Catcher in the Rye.

While watching The Usual Suspects, we are just as clueless to the truth as investigator Kujan. We may think we’re seeing the film through Verbal’s perspective, but we’re not: we’re actually seeing it through Kujan’s eyes as he visualizes the wild yarn Verbal is spinning for him.

So, we’re as surprised as he is when the truth is revealed at the end (to us, by the Kint/Söze’s transformation on the sidewalk; to Kujan, by the bulletin board,) as we, like Kujan, realize in that moment we cannot trust a word Verbal said, or even the evidence of our own eyes now

Thank you, I'll have to watch the film again with fresh eyes. My favourite musical artist would also be known for using the unreliable narrator shtick for his songs - Randy Newman.

Dude…. All the realistic war movies! Add a hot chick and throw in a couple of good actors, viola! Enemy at the gate great example of this. Love that stuff… and anything that gives you just enough bread crumbs to follow along. I hate predictable flicks 🤮
