https://europerformancecenter.com/p...une-for-2020-bmws?_pos=1&_sid=13fbedbdc&_ss=r Hey everyone in two weeks on May 17th I will be heading back to femto for more ecu unlocks. I will need all dmes by the 16th. It is a simple process after prurchase you will be sent a shipping label. It is typically a two day turn around for us to receive your dme unless overnight is selected. After we recieve your dme we will take it with us on May 17th to finland to get it unlocked. We will bring your unlocked dme back on May 24th ready to be tuned! This a hand delivery femto unlock service so no need to ship you dme to Finland by mail. https://europerformancecenter.com/p...une-for-2020-bmws?_pos=1&_sid=13fbedbdc&_ss=r

Is the frequency of orders starting to decline, seeing how nobody can find ECUs anymore (based on what I've read, maybe not the case).

Anyones ECU can go with them. You only need to buy a pre june ECU for a clone, as long as new supras are being pumped out i'm sure he should have business.

I find this service bizarre. How many ECUs have actually gone missing via registered mail?

Why would it decline? Not everyone wants a full unlock and ECUTEK to run 8's. Like myself many are totally satisfied with a partial unlock BMT3 and MHD OTS maps.

None that I've heard of, but that doesn't mean anyone wants to be the first. DHL round trip shipping from the states is $275ish each way, so this service costs less anyway.

It only cost me 200 to ship to Finland and 150 for Femto this ship back i was unlocked for 900 bucks OTD. I understand ppl worried about shipping DHL international though it’s a bit nerve racking the what-if my DME gets lost

What actually happens if the ecu gets lost, damaged, bricked by FEMTO or by transport? Insurance will cover the cost of the ecu but i'm certain it doesn't end there.

I suspect it's not a plug and play process. Dealership would need to code the keys, process, register, possible new keys? That's all extra costs. It's not going to be like swapping out a hard drive on your computer?

You actually can't insure the package if you do it yourself. Then you'd have to declare it's value on customs forms, and Femto would refuse delivery because of duties.

I looked into sending it myself and it was quite the headache. About 250ish each way for me via DHL. There looked to be a VAT I would have to pay also, something like 24%. The instructions were good but super detailed and possibly to the point of confusion. Overall sending it via EPC, Etc seems much better.
