As the title states, this is the first time I will be lowering a car so I'm still new to this, forgive me.

I planning on purchasing coil overs to drop my car. I was considering BC Racing BR or Silver's Coil overs. I know HKS seems to be the go-to, but they are out of my budget at the moment and from my research, BC and Silver's seem to be pretty good for the price.

What else do I need to install coil overs? Lower control arms? Camber plates? Etc? I tried to do some research but I don't see much people talk about it unless they track the car. I do not track, but I do daily drive my Supra.
It's a 2022 Locked ECU if that matters.

I'm looking to get fitment similar to this, maybe just a tad less "tuck" (not my photo). I am on stock wheels with 13mm Front/ 15mm Rear spacers for what it's worth.

If you are only going for the look I would save your money and just get lowering springs. BC coil overs will do the job but they are really a downgrade in ride and performance in my opinion. You can get adjustable coil springs with height adjustment similar to coil overs for less than the price of bc coil overs. They will also perform better and retain the oem electronic dampening functions. I lowered on eibach springs with 18mm/20mm spacers and I think it looks great. Any lower and I think I would be rubbing and have camber issues. I would also recommend doing a stud conversion from Motorsports Hardware at the same time. My 2 cents!

The HKS Hipermax adjustable springs will most likely be a better option than those, and are cheaper. With them set at the default height it should be very close to what youā€™re looking for. No other parts are necessary, just an alignment. You should be sitting at about -2 to -2.5 deg camber with that and the shop should be able to dial everything else in to spec.

Thanks man. Are there any downsides of adjustable springs long term? Like wearing out the stock strut or anything?

Are those the front or rear camber specs you are saying. What is stock?

Theyā€™ll most likely wear the stock strut out faster than the stock springs would, but it will still last for many years. Iā€™d be surprised if the BC strut would last any longer honestly.

That was the front camber, since itā€™s not adjustable thatā€™s just where it will be. The rear is adjustable and can be set wherever you like. The OEM alignment specs are floating around the forum, you should be able to find it in a search. I donā€™t have it bookmarked, but the range is pretty wide, around -0.5 to -2.0 for the camber. Youā€™ll most likely be right on the edge or slightly outside of that on the front, but not enough to cause problems.

If you don't want the tuck, you'd be better off on springs bro. I'm on H&R's and the drop is perfect to me. I sometimes wanna go lower but if i go lower, i'm tucking. This is both setups with stock wheels/ spacers and now with my 57CR's FWIW.

Stock Wheels:
Stock front tires - 13mm spacer.
Rear 285/35 - 15mm spacers.

57CR's:
265/35 Fronts
305/35 Rears.
