On paper yes, but not in the traditional sense. The first "owner" was Toyota Motor Sales, who had to register it in order to be legally driven on public roads. OP is the first actual 'private individual' to own of this vehicle.

The Savegegeese supra! Good taste in cars. I was able to drive (in anger) a 350 back to back with a 991.1 gt3 in the Malibu canyons. Brakes and motor were the highlight for me. Braking given the weight was honestly shocking. Interior is poo poo, transmission felt better than my buddies california gt. Was it better than the Gt3? Not even close. Is the Porsche 2x better given the price difference? I wouldnt say so. If money is not an issue would still take the GT3 every time but the 350 is a tremendous value esp. for a really nice NA motor.

I thought about the 350 (prefer NA motors that sing), similar prices to a new supra around me; I echo your concerns about the reliability of the motor and that is what put me off in the end.

Fair price after price drop when you have the bumper to bumper warranty extended to 2027. no dealer fees or BS! carmax is so dam close to your new asking price that i would have held car up til carmax offer expired and sell them. No BS on there end if your getting offer price. The difference in lose is a no brainer, dealing with private people sucks and a lot of excuses, con artist, tire kickers dreaming they can offer you 45k with no money down.

Offer is probably long since expired and less now, otherwise I’d imagine he would’ve took it instead of holding out for $1K more from a private sale. $56K isn’t bad, it’s a decent price for someone who wants to get in one right-now that doesn’t care for the shenanigans/effort involved in securing a reasonably priced one from a dealership.

After 2025 I bet you these will retain quite a bit of value, or depreciate much slower than other cars simply due to the fact they will be discontinued. They are already ranked in the top 10 cars for vehicles that retain their value.

Stock ones specifically, I don't think there is a huge demand for a lot of these decked out supras that were someone elses project. Unless you find one for a really good deal and it has the upgrades that you would have done yourself.
