Just wanted to start a discussion post on these two turbos. I bought a p2uned kit with the G30-900 and want to make sure i got the right turbo, if not ill change my order..

So i think my end goal is 700whp with a fast spooling turbo, just a street car that never sees the track. 2021 6 port.

Should be fine for the street with a good tune. When I was streeting my car heavily, I was running a 6870 and the lag was nonexistent and easily made 900whp. 700 is an excellent goal for the street. Ton of fun to drive and fairly forgiving when on the throttle

Awesome, thanks for the input. I was deadset on the G30-900 but everyone was asking me why i didnt go with the 1050 so i was second guessing my decision.

Always size your turbo to the place you wanna be. If you want around 700WHP, the 900 is a great choice for the displacement of the MkV. 1050 is too much turbo and wont spool as quickly as you want.

BTW: I am friends with the owner, but if you are interested in a turbo like the G30-900, I strongly recommend checking out the Remnant Performance 62 Omega turbo. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the cost and features. Message the owner on his Instagram if you have any questions.

I'd go with the G35-1050 all day every day. The G30 has a teeny tiny turbine. Great for spool/initial response but it's going to be a tire fryer and out of breath quickly on our modern and efficient 3.0L. The G35 will be right in the meat of its efficiency at your goals and will have plenty of overhead.

Do you know who makes the Omega turbos? I've found zero info on them.
