^^^ what @obito said. It's more common to run into a 3.0 premium than the base... you'll find a 2.0 in nitro yellow before you find a base model... "base" isn't as common as you think, especially in the color you want. @obito is just lucky lol
if its yellow, let it mellow...

Nitro Yellow isn't my first color choice. It's actually white. But I thought if there is a chance, why not take it :)

I got an appointment at the dealer tomorrow, going to place an order on a 3.0 Base in white.

Looked at the GR86 and I know Z is coming and I know that manual 3.0 is coming, but honestly, this auto is so good. And for personal/home reasons, can't have manual.

Base cars are rare its hard enough to find Supras period in a color we want. The dilemma you should be worried about is paying over MSRP.

If a dealership has a Supra in your color for MSRP jump on it. Otherwise consider spending more time on the Z forums. ?

The hardest thing about having the base 3.0 is that you have to buy rear brake pads for the 2.0, and fronts for the 3.0. And almost nobody knows this.

my update:

Went to my local dealer and placed a deposit on a new 3.0 Base in Nitro Yellow with White as being a backup color. But I'm going to hold out until I can get a Nitro Yellow.

Not according to GLOC, I’ve already dealt with this

I did too, and top end motorsports updated their website b/c of my experience, but its not widely known that the 3.0 premium rear pads don't fit the 3.0 base.

Well I’m currently running premium pads on my base rear brakes so … not sure what to tell you. The only issue was a manufacturing issue with the backing plate being the same thickness instead decreasing thickness to allow the factory wear sensor to sit on the pad

I got Endless MX72s -- those rears were too big for the base's calipers, so yeah, not sure without having exact measurements.

Did you have any fitment issues specifically with the wear sensor

With the premium pad, yes, it was too big. Also was much larger than the caliper itself and didn't sit properly. The 2.0 pad was a better fit.
