I’ll stick with the clown horn—-no way anyone is going to pull bumpers and fenders off my new ride to change a horn—-I just can’t do that! Lol

Same here. It's not that bad. Plus with the downpipe and tune the car is loud enough I can just rev and it will pop loudly!I’ll stick with the clown horn—-no way anyone is going to pull bumpers and fenders off my new ride to change a horn—-I just can’t do that! Lol
It would be a good opportunity to do it while you're installing a new heat exchanger for exampleI’ll stick with the clown horn—-no way anyone is going to pull bumpers and fenders off my new ride to change a horn—-I just can’t do that! Lol
#idiota APLoL, go to the junk yard to source a old car horn to swap over your brand new 2020 toyota horn sounds amazing. No one is looking for aftermarket horns? And do you really have to rip the bumper to get to the horns?
I’d never heard of a wireless car horn, so Googled it to check. It looks like there are a few available, BUT, they need a 12v power source, and operate by a separate fob type switch. Not sure where you’d mount the unit within the engine compartment. Several of the comments in this long thread talk about ‘ripping off the front bumper’. Actually, only the front bumper plastic COVER needs to come off. Although I had a dealer do the work, other owners have done it themselves. Take a look at the first post in this thread for pictures. Nobody points and laughs at my horn anymore! Is there a wireless horn kit available?
Not sure that I want to remove front bumper etc.
A totally separate horn activated by a wireless switch
Was this install plug and play? Using horn 730-1056?picked up from my local Napa auto parts $22.97 plus tax in CA. Will be installing tomorrow or Sunday. If I can upload a video clip I will. If I can’t I’ll post a link to a sound clip of it.
Was this plug and play really, male pins look apart! Did you tap and reconnect them?I just replaced mine with the NAPA/Balkamp FIAMM low note blaster horn. 132 decibels I believe.
Part no: 730-1056
Cost: $20.00
DIY labor time: 1.2 hr
Thanks brooI just replaced the OEM horn. Some people are going with 2 horns—one high note and one low note, one on each side. Plug and play if you’re just swapping horns.
Then you dont hate as much as I do, just fyi bumper comes down in 15 minutesJesus, I hate the crappy horn, but there's no way I'm taking half of the front end apart to get at it. Ugh!
