HOW TO CHANGE AUT GEAR TO NEUTRAL - HELP

Guys, my oil pump gave up, and the mec told to me, not to start my car, but how the f#ck am i supposed to, put in into neutral. so i can tow it... i saw some videos and read some threads, i swear i tested anything i could but it wont change - could be xhp be blocking it? got the stage 3 tune on my trans.

im happy and thankfull for any advice! TY!!

You need to get under the car and release the park pawl in the transmission manually. Brilliant system I know.

If there is enough room around your car, a capable tow truck driver will winch your car onto their flatbed as they do repo cars even if the wheels are locked. ?

Try hitting start without your foot on the brake. It'll fire up the electronics but not actually start the car. The parking brake functions, and I'm pretty sure steering will work as well.

nope testest it, i hate bmw fr… they made this shit so complicated

I don't have an auto Supra, but I know on recent BMWs if you press the start/stop button three times (no foot on brake) that puts the car into diagnostic mode, and that should allow you to put the car into neutral.

Electronically placing the ZF8 in neutral requires line pressure. The engine doesn’t necessarily have to be started, but it must be cranked to build pressure then you have approximately 15 minutes before the transmission will lose pressure and go back into Park. There’s more details on how all this works via Google.

Whether or not it’s a good idea to crank the engine at all with a bad oil pump is another question, but diagnostic/PAD mode will not work for the reason outlined above.
