Yeah but almost no registration fee. Some states have registration based on value of the car.
Definitely considering this deal. The other dealer in my area gave me $63K but has only had 1 Supra in the whole year and wouldn’t be able to give me my earnest money back for 365 days.

If it were me I’d expand my area and find dealers selling at MSRP with refundable deposits. I was only able to find one such dealer near by me, and then 3 more in neighboring states. I’m willing to do a little travel for the deal though.

I would observe the car sales sources in your area for 2-3 months before making a decision, like autotrader, FB marketplace etc. I'm in Vancouver, and so many people are backing out of their Supra orders here, 4 brand new MT (strat, red, yellow, black) units made their way FB marketplace alone all within past 7 weeks (all different dealers within 50km radius), only one had $10k of forced add-ons, other 3 were MSRP deals. Another one (white) popped up in local autocross whatsapp group at MSRP a few days ago. People are getting bad trade-in offers and interest rates, variable mortage rates some buyers are on also killed off their purchase, hence not selling. I would much rather just hunt for the right one than to line up at dealers. Ofc this depends on how your area is.
Off topic. And big car events/supra events in August in Vancouver area.

Leaving this more of a note.

MSRP in 6 months is not gonna be the same as rn.

how much of this can I have taken off? Prep fee and platinum package 3.0 seem sketchy.

Platinum package is most likely an add-on at the port, could be Toyoguard platinum or something similar. Would definitely recommend asking if you can get that removed. It appears there is a dealer markup on this one, usually an AT 3.0 premium would retail around 57k or so.

My understanding is they are bullshitting you on the doc fee being $899. I was told by multiple dealers when I was purchasing in 2021 that Toyota has $500 doc fee across all dealerships.

I thought doc fees varied from dealer to dealer. That being said, I contacted Beaman toyota and plan on just working through them for the time being. Not a big fan of those fees. I may call them back in a few months and see if they can chop down a few. The platinum package is unique to their dealership.

The platinum package is unique to their dealership. Toyoguard was included ON TOP of their platinum package. Gonna wait a month or two and ask if we can get those charges removed if I still don't have one or an actual allocation by then.

I have expanded my search out of state! Currently in line without earnest fee. But there are 12 ahead of me at the moment lol. 6 in line for MT and another 6 for AT.

My dealership told me 4 to 6 months wait time for what I ordered. Then, after 1st month, they asked there is an allocation for another color if I want. I accepted it. Now it is going to be 3 months since the allocation, they delayed 2 weeks to the first week of July. They provided VIN for the vehicle almost a month ago. It is frustrating.
Try to find dealerships with a refundable deposit and make multiple dealerships deposits. Best way of getting your supra. Waiting 6 months and getting your non refundable deposit back won’t make you happy all that wait!
I have expanded my desired colors from 1 to 3 (black, white, red). Hoping that cuts the wait down significantly, but I really dont mind waiting for 3-6 months as long as I know that it's coming without hassle and odd fees.

Ouch! That’s a bummer. Hopefully some people drop out.

Platinum. How long is the coverage for. That's the question.. If 7 yr or something then price makes sense to me ...
If 3.0 refers to 3 years, then, I think it's too much.

Hi OP, another user on this forum shared this link which has a running list of updated allocations - so u know who is actually getting product. Not to dissuade u from doing a factory order, but could get what u want with less wait time and hassle.

Toyota Allocation Tracker

Thanks for sharing, this is cool. I've been waiting since Nov and I see one is coming in local to me (different dealer) that says "dealer hold" and "presold, false". Anyone know what this means?
