For those interested, I think I’m going with carbon fiber fenders. The cost of an OEM painted fender is roughly $800 prior to shipping. I can get a decent set of CF fenders for $650.

Lmao I’ve always debated the carbon fiber fenders but honestly never thought the random square of carbon looked good. Now that I look a little closer lol… I think I’m sold
Good job ? We won’t tell your wife ?

You could always paint over the carbon if you’re not a fan of the contrast
True… my build is centered around CF anyhow so it’s a welcome addition. But without a CF hood and doors it’s just sorta sitting there all alone. Maybe this leads me to a CF hood ???‍♂

LOL go for broke! It’ll be one badass light ride. That’s for sure. Minus the hood, it’ll be hard for anyone else to notice it, other than yourself. We replaced the same part on the wife’s GTI recently. She was really pissed at herself. Now it’s as good as new ?

Lol things happen don't beat yourself up.
Well said ☝

Shoot damn. I had a similar thing happen. I always shake the car a lot after setting it down and seemed pretty solid. I was under doing something and one side slid off then the other side slid off but fortunately still was held up enough for me to an emergency slide out. But there were a couple issues I was able to push out the sides and was luckily ok and no one would know except me…

For my Supra's oil change I may:
Jack up the front from center position near the oil drain.
Place Rhino Ramps under the tires.
Jack up the back from the front of the diff.
Place another set of Rhino ramps under the back tires.

I did it this way when topping off my diff before the left output shaft seal was replaced.

That’s the way I do it but I drive up on race ramps first then go to taller race ramps used for my other cars.
