Yeah, that does suck. It’s ridiculous actually. I went outside my area to get a good dealer and realistic price. At the time MSRP and paid $1000 to ship to me. In my mind, I’d rather support a good dealer and that transport price was minimal in the grand scheme of things (for me). If that’s an option for you? I did everything online until I found a flexible dealer that had inventory. It really wasn’t that bad. ?‍♂
I've already sort of gone out of my immediate local market by finding a dealer about 60 miles outside of town who was willing to put in a preference for me at MSRP. The dealer was more than happy to take my deposit and has been preferencing for my vehicle of choice, but I think my preference went in after the 2022's stopped being built and before the nitro yellow 2023's have started to be built.

I'm kind of stuck waiting right now as my primary preference is for a manual nitro yellow, of which I have yet to see anyone online say they've seen yet. I'm willing to accept an auto, but only if the manual option is taken off the table. And since there are literally no used manual Supras yet in any color I'm stuck waiting regardless.

If all I wanted was "a Supra, any Supra" I'm sure I could find one in a week. But since I want a specific color with hopefully a manual, that limits my options to "wait and see".

The yellow manuals exist. I haven't seen one in the US yet though.

This more or less strengthens my want for a 2023 nitro yellow. I was worried how the new wheels would look on the yellow, but they look just fine to me (YMMV). I also see it has that silver steering wheel insert... I keep seeing that silver insert and I wonder if that is a region specific thing, a package thing, a manual vs auto thing, etc.?

It also makes me glad the US models don't have that tiny "toyota" above the Supra logo on the back.

All of the 2023's have the silver insert including the autos.

I would say either Cayman or Camaro ZL1. Yes very different cars. I wanted the new M2 until the most recent pictures. Holy shit it’s ugly
My wife saw the M2 pic on my screen and said
"that looks like my car, sort off"
She drives a dodge nitro...

TLDR; don't get impatient and make a hasty decision; otherwise, you will potentially have a larger problem on your hands.

I ended up picking up a CPO M2C with 34k miles on it from my local BMW. So far, it has been a massive headache. There's no way they actually performed the CPO checklist on this car. Upon getting it on the lift to install the AA exhaust, I found a leaking rear-diff--which also has visible damage on the heatsink fins. The underside of the front bumper is DESTROYED. The driver's side wheel has developed a terrible ticking noise that was not present when I test drove the car; they replaced the tires after my test drive. My guess is a poor re-installation of the wheel, but I still find it bothersome. The SA claimed, "It's just BMW brake things" when I took it to the dealer to look at that. As of last night, I've experience a "drivetrain malfunction" warning twice while cruising on the interstate at 80 MPH.

Clearly, these clowns did not thoroughly examine this car before selling it. Due to an odd change in life situations, I sort of had to sell my Supra quickly and get a different car; I am now getting burned because of it. It's going to the dealer this week for investigation, and I suspect my car will be stuck there for a while.

My first Supra was the backup plan. Still trying for a local GT4 (or now a GT4RS) allocation.

I've pretty much already accepted I probably won't get one again. And cannot bring myself to try for an Emira. So once again, trying for a manual equipped Stratosphere or Absolute Zero 3.0 premium to replace my '21. TBH though neither color option is really what I want. Downshift and Tungsten are my choices out of the past colors.

I'm so annoyed with Toyota's half-assed information release, allocation system and the delay/markup schedules for the new models I don't even know if I want to pursue it much further.

I know that *if* I get into a 2023 manual, by the time it gets in my hands it will be only 1-2 months before the 2024 model is announced and then it will feel like a waste all over again if there is another update, a much more preferred color option or the GRMN trim.

All said and done if it doesn't work out I probably won't loose sleep, I already got the' 21 that I enjoy. I've also been itching to get back into a NA1 NSX, do a proper resto-mod that I could never even imagined 20 years ago.
GT4RS? They are taken for years and all for over sticker even with waiting unless you have owned many GT cars or a 918. Even those people are paying over.

If you can get the Supra, how about helping a brother out with a Type R allocation that you're not needing?
Sure if none of my family/friends don't go for it....

My girl points at cars like a 370Z and asks me if that's my car or other sedans sometimes I just laugh
Sad part is that I could see some resemblance between the leaked new M2 and a 2008 dodge nitro.
