Some new goodies from Brembo have just landed! We decided to go with the GT-S kit with Type 3 rotors for our Supra.

For those unfamiliar with the GT-S kit, Brembo has long offered two streetable options: the GT and GT-R kits. The two kits are separated not only by vastly different caliper technology, but a very different price tag as well—the GT-R kit carries a premium due to its much more motorsport-focused demeanor and performance.

The GT-S new kit pairs a cast monoblock 6-piston caliper with a bespoke gunmetal finish and GT-R heritage branding. The result is as strikingly handsome as it is able to perform. Impressively, the GT-S kit boasts better heat rejection versus its GT counterpart, in large part because of its unique piston design: the GT-S pistons borrow the flagship GT-R’s recessed dust boot design while sporting its own stainless steel, non-ventilated insert.

Love this car! Photo shoot showing the carbon roof in the sun. Installing the Brembo kit and AMS anti-wind buffeting kit next.

The RKP roof is over 50% lighter than factory. Carbon layering can be adjusted for weight. For example, if someone contacts us and would like to order the lightest possible panel we can have it built at 3-4lbs. With less layering comes more flex and road noise. The standard production RKP Supra carbon roof comes in at 6-7lbs. For street use and some road course mix I recommend the panel with slightly more carbon layering so that you don't notice any change in the cabin sound. The factory steel roof weighs in at 16.0lbs.

I think the carbon roof would pop much more of the window pillars were painted red. I think the unpainted pillar is my least favorite thing about these cars.

Agreed! I kinda miss when cars a-pillars and mirrors were always color matched for a more cohesive look (like the old Supra). First thing i did when i got my premium was buy launch edition caps so it’s all red. But yeah that thick black a pillar has been bugging me for a while haha

Honestly it’s the reason I got the black launch edition. The black pillars just look better on the black car. Ironically the first thing I did was take the red caps off and paint them black! I found this car that was wrapped and the posts color matched and imo looks much better.

I remember seeing this exact picture and thinking to myself that's what I need! I could probably get it painted to match, if only there was a way to hide/blend the panel gaps between the pillar and roof, and the pillar and the door so it looks more factory. I can dream I guess

Gorgeous. A little too much low for my tastes but other than that the build looks fantastic.
