INSIDE Window Glass Passenger/Driver Greasy Streaking

Hi, i will wash my car and then a week, or few days later when i roll the window down and then eventually roll the windows back up i get a gnarly greasy type of streak on the INSIDE of the car.


am i the only one whos getting this?


it sucks cause i detail cars here in LA and i take pride when i have my supra cleaned, but then when i wanna roll the windows up i see a horrible strreak thats on the inside of the window.


any tips?

any reason why?

help lol

It may be something on the felt window track at the bottom edge of the glass. See if you can attempt to clean it with some rubbing alcohol on a clean microfiber towel. You also may need a thin plastic wedge to slide in between the space.

Maybe the grease on the window mechanism got smudged over the door where the window rests. The arms may be contributing as well...
Only true clean way would be to disassemble the door and clean it.. Total speculation though.

While at that, you could install additional insulation.
Also I can sell you GR logo illumination (along with cables) that I bought a while back and never got to install. (for shipping price pretty much) lol

Yep, I do but its small. Its only about an inch tall and 2 inches wide on the bottom center of the drivers side window.

happens to me every time after i wash my car the grime or whatever is still there. i try not to even roll my windows down anymore


tempted to go to toyota and tell them to replace it.
