Anyone else obsessed with keeping the inside of their Supra’s rims and red calipers clean with each wash?

The dust free brake pads do help.

I’m the same way about the wheel wells and muffler/pipes. And yes it’s driven in the rain. ?

Therapeutic in some weird way.

I need to figure this whole keeping wheels clean thing out. It's weird, I obsess over everything else, to the point I have a Porter Cable DA and a Chief industrial steam cleaner.

I just paint corrected and ceramic coated my new Supra and ordered stuff from Autogeek to seal the interior but haven't thought about the rims.

Do you have a process and any products you recommend?

Yah you can eat from those calipers. Likewise, I like to meticulously maintain a clean car. Ammonyc from Youtube produces great videos to learn from. When I buy used vehicles, I look for common traits from the seller.

I Definitely do the same..this car generates an excessive amount of brake dust - it’s annoying. I was taking the wheels off every couple of weeks for a good cleaning; but now do it by just reaching through the wheel opposite the caliper and rolling it to get the missed spots. I haven’t found ANY cleaner or coating that works worth a damn to resist the dust. The painted inner wheel looks awesome clean though..people notice for sure. But after an hour drive, it’s dusty.

I was just like you but the solution isn’t cleaning. It’s to get rid of those Brembo chimney soot pads. After switching to the Powerstop Ceramic Z16 pads the brake dust has decreased by 98%.

Absolutely. I got the Z23. Carbon Fiber, supposed to be a slight performance pad vs. OEM replacement type. Great bite and performance, still almost zero dust. I love them. The OEM pads were HORRIBLE. I can't stand spending hours cleaning my vehicles and have the running gear look terrible 20 miles later.

I just swapped from the Z26 back to the Z16. What a difference… so much less dust. When in doubt go with the Z16 version pads.

I do not recommend the Z26 pads regardless of what powerstop advertises.

The brake dust was driving me nuts. I found myself washing the wheels in between car washes. I Installed the Z23 fronts and Z16 rears and now Im a solid believer. Brake feel and stopping power seems identical to the metallic pads, if not a bit more linear. No squeal. Cant speak to track results though as mine is street driven. Best part of all, 95% less brake dust.
