So recently had my tuner do new injector seals and when they were pulled (refer to the picture below) the part I circled out seemed to be dark as if it got super hot and changed color. He said most of the come out like that and some are one color like the reference below. He is not sure why this happens… can anyone give an insight on what they believe it is and if it is normal.

I forgot to take a picture of mine but hopefully some get what I am saying and can relate if this is normal.

This is what mine looked like. Only 9k miles on them and 5k of those were at 600hp. I would imagine higher mileage ones may be more colored from heat maybe.

Yeppp that’s exactly what I was talking about normal heat cycle discoloration?

It colours that way because it gets hot from working. The area you are looking at is where the coil that operates the injector is. Electrical coils get hot when the duty cycle is high.

Yeah my tuner was asking if it was normal now he’ll know he’s been asking himself why some are and some aren’t burnt in a way.

Weird why it’s more shown on b58 than the old generation motors like the n55. This is normal?
