It would not surprise me if Yamaha were involved in whatever that car will end up being. Interesting that it looks VERY Supra-ish but is supposed to be a Lexus.

Seriously, some people are dubbing it the real MK5 Supra concept ??
LOL! I'm still a big fan of the MKV as it is... just so long as they actually release a 3.0L manual version in volume production.

That Lexus concept from the front and sides really echo the FT-1 concept car. And there is nothing wrong with that at all. Toyota likes that general shape for their flagship sportscars.

Still, I feel the Toyota side of that concept lineup is currently lacking. That Supra-ish Lexus EV concept should be on the Toyota side right next to that MR2-ish EV concept. Because, and I've said this before, while we're not at that point yet Toyota needs to keep the Supra alive. And that concept LOOKS very much like a Supra, so...

The Lexus side needs yet another even wilder looking concept to succeed its LF-A ultra low volume hypercar.

■ Lexus LFAII (scheduled to appear in 2025)
The strongest domestically produced super PHEV sports

Lexus will also prepare a super-class super sports. This is a PHEV, not an EV. It is a car that will be a revival version of the LFA, which was produced in a limited number of 500 units in two years from December 2010, and for convenience, it will be called the LFAII here.

The engine is a V8, 4L twin turbo, whose development was rumored to be temporarily frozen, and the maximum output is 720ps for the engine alone, and 950ps for the entire system.

It is said that it is aiming for a catalog model rather than a limited sale, and adopts the GA-L platform used for Lexus LC. The drive system is a transaxle type FR, and it becomes a carbon body that achieves both high rigidity and light weight.

In addition, the LFA II is being developed at the same time as the GT3 race car, and the GT3 car is the "GR GT3 Concept" that was unveiled for the first time at this year's Tokyo Auto Salon. It seems to be a pure gasoline engine car that meets the race rules, but there is a possibility that it will be a PHEV like the LFA II, depending on future changes in the rules.

The body size of the LFAII is expected to be around 4600mm in length, 1950mm in width and 1200mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2700mm. It will appear in 2025, and the price is likely to be in the 40 million to 50 million yen class.

^^ Very intriguing! It's interesting that Bestcar's render fo the LFA II looks a bit like an S2000. I wonder if some of A70's work made its way into that project.
