This car has captured my attention and itā€™s love at first sight. This how I felt when I saw the MKIV Supra for the first time as a teenager.
They have me at s/c Toyota V6, 6 speed manual, hydraulic steering, simple n driver focused interior. If the reviews match the specs, Iā€™m definitely adding this car to the stable to share the shop the with other 6 ladies; Supra-Inline 6, Carrera-Flat 6 and now Emira-V6. Trifecta! ??

I have to believe most people are in similar positions to me in that there is MAYBE 1 certified repair facility within hours of your location for Lotus. Mid 70-80k isn't a big deal, I was looking at 981 GTS that were all at least 70k but a new Lotus under warranty and finding a good place to work on it....ya. I haven't had a single new vehicle in years that hasn't needed warranty work within the first year of use.

Test drive with a stick to actually row! Damn, this car checks all of the boxes. I can't wait to see and test drive this thing.

Damn, this may very well replace my MKV in 2023. I'd get the i4 version though. If it's similar to the i4 in the A45 AMG, that thing will move like a rocket. Closest Lotus repair facility is 350 miles away from me but hopefully Mercedes is authorized to work on them.

I wonder if we'll get the i4 version since that engine isn't homologated here. We might just get the Toyota V6.

Ordered one this morning at my Local dealer! Will go for the SC V6 with the M/T. I am being told around 100K for a loaded 6 cylinder. delivery first quarter of 2022, let's see if that holds true!

I definitely like the way it looks a lot more than a C8. That price though is a bit harder to swallow for what you get comparatively. C8 Z06 would likely be my go to upgrade between the two though.

Ahhh, but that's why you buy a Lotus. Nearest dealer to me when I had my Evora (and Elise for that matter) was in Denver...I was in Utah.

But it's a Toyota! (okay, assuming you bought the V6 in this case) If you can wrench on a car at all you can fix a Lotus, if not a Toyota tech can fix engine/transmission issues.

I know this from having replaced an A/C compressor in my Evora, among other work, and many engines in Elise's.

Under warranty, I had the dealer send parts to fix a dash issue as well.

I got 2 years left on the Supra lease, so I'll be ordering next year, assuming a year waiting time. I'm hoping there will be a version with a roof scoop by then. And some other colors. Emira in Krypton Green would look insane.
I'd probably go for the manual too.

Well all the SoCal dealers have a very long wait list now and all are requiring deposits (around 3k) just to maybe get one. But one dealer said the US is only getting 500 for the first MY, which = mark ups.

Iā€™m a big Lotus fan. I worked out a deal on a series 2 Exige last summer, but to keep a long story short the deal fell through after the dealer was unable to sort out an issue with the title. I had even ordered a personalized plate: ā€œS2Xā€, which I ultimately just threw on my F80 ?.

This car has my attention, but based on the info I got today, I may just go with the Evora GT, which is also an incredible car.

Are you not worried about first year production issues since this is a completely new car. Looking on Lotus Talk, other models seem to have intermittent issues.

Well if what @Zoopra said right above you holds true... even if it has issues - you can always sell at a profit if you manage to actually take receipt of one at MSRP. I know a couple people that did that with the C8 and netted nearly enough to buy an MKV with the difference. ;)

True. I'm in love with this car. I haven't been wow'd by a car in a while (since the 997 GT3's were released). If the price speculation is true on the LT forum like this, it's a done deal for me.

Cayman S (72k) vs. Emira AMG I4(65k)
Cayman GTS 4.0 (86k) vs. Emira Toyota V6 (80k)

This would be my build.
-Dark Verdant
-Lower Black Pack
-Gloss Black Ultra Light V spoke Forged Alloy Wheels
-Yellow calipers
-Still deciding on the Black or Tan Leather. No alcantara since it wears easily and doesn't age well.
-V6/6speed
