Max “safe” redline on stock valvetrain?

Right, the swing cam (some call it a secondary rocker) is also susceptible to float, however a stiffer valve spring does not provide float control for the swing cam when it is on it's base radius. this is worst when the commanded valve lift is at minimum, like when you are lifting off the gas pedal.

my honest guess is that nobody has actually done the math yet to spec a new spring.

My redline is about 500rpm higher IIRC with the hybrid turbo, the combination makes it a lot more fun to use on the road; peak power is at the top end end now too - drives like a petrol sports car and not a diesel TT now!

But why? You drop 150whp and 150wtq from 6500 to 7250 rpm. OEM redline is 7000rpm
