Its quite unlikely that ELSD could work like a mechanical LSD. At least not in terms of initial lockup due to reliance on sensors.
You may be right. I'll reach out to Power Tune to see if they have more information on how their custom maps function.

What issue(s) are you guys trying to solve with this?
I'm looking for an LSD that doesn't function by a bajillion sensors, I'd rather it function by my right foot. All just personal preference in regards to driving characteristics.

That thing is super cool. Not in my wheel house but if you are looking for someone to sign off on it for you, tell your wife you have my permission and she can't argue with it ;)

I might be in the minority here but of all the track cars I have owned over the last twenty years, the Supras rear diff feels the most magical. With my last Evo (10), with the SAYC, being a close second. The Evo's rear diff got grumpy over 600whp. The supra just keeps eating up track miles and putting the power down.

I do agree it's driving style dependent.

I recall watching a LoneStar drift video on the 'tube about a drift f80, they did something with the active differential to make it more consistent for drifting (fixed lock). Don't remember if it was software and/or physical changes. I want to say it may have been the RK Tunes fella and that drift f80? Maybe Taylor Ray has done something like that with his f80 drift car?

Os Gikens are top shelf, love that diff used to track with one of the owners of the company.

Hey Filip. Would you recommend canola or olive 10w-40 for track days? ;)
Funny you should mention this but I can still remember race engines that ran on Castrol R a Vegetable based oil race oil. As a lubricant it was very very good but had maintenance downsides that made it hard work. You could always tell the engines running on R as exhaust had a very distinctive sweet smell about it.

This was sarcasm and you turn it into an awesome little tidbit of info!

There is a noticeable delay in diff lockup especially in tight turns. And its a lot worse on the MT cars.
Yup 100%
It's frustrating not being able to do a quick J turn with a clutch kick because the LSD is so lazy. Even more frustrating that these cars don't have a handbrake ?
