Hey guys, sorry if there’s already a thread on here with some info about this, but I searched for a while and couldn’t find one.
I just installed a Mishimoto radiator, and the coolant temp sensor doesn’t fit properly and leaks while just trying to fill the coolant back up, didn’t even make it to the bleeding process. I tried replacing the o ring, no difference, I tried to add an extra o ring to take out the extra space causing it to wiggle around, no dice, I reached out to Mishimoto and they said all they could do was reach out to their engineering team and I’d hear back in a few days. They suggested doing something to spread the clips farther apart, so I shoved an o ring between the sensor and the clips to spread them out farther, but that also didn’t help at all and caused the sensor to get stuck and I just ended up breaking the sensor when I finally got it out. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? What did you/ what would you do to fix it? I’m just hoping I’m not gonna have to take out the radiator again to warranty it, I was planning on hitting some canyon roads near Phoenix this weekend so this f*cking sucks. And now I need to get a new sensor and so far it looks like the nearest in stock one to me is a 6 hour drive away in Vegas, so all hope for fixing this today has gone out the window.
Pictures and videos are taking forever to upload so I’ll be posting them here separately.
