Hey guys, sorry if there’s already a thread on here with some info about this, but I searched for a while and couldn’t find one.

I just installed a Mishimoto radiator, and the coolant temp sensor doesn’t fit properly and leaks while just trying to fill the coolant back up, didn’t even make it to the bleeding process. I tried replacing the o ring, no difference, I tried to add an extra o ring to take out the extra space causing it to wiggle around, no dice, I reached out to Mishimoto and they said all they could do was reach out to their engineering team and I’d hear back in a few days. They suggested doing something to spread the clips farther apart, so I shoved an o ring between the sensor and the clips to spread them out farther, but that also didn’t help at all and caused the sensor to get stuck and I just ended up breaking the sensor when I finally got it out. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? What did you/ what would you do to fix it? I’m just hoping I’m not gonna have to take out the radiator again to warranty it, I was planning on hitting some canyon roads near Phoenix this weekend so this f*cking sucks. And now I need to get a new sensor and so far it looks like the nearest in stock one to me is a 6 hour drive away in Vegas, so all hope for fixing this today has gone out the window.

Pictures and videos are taking forever to upload so I’ll be posting them here separately.

Here’s how it fits into the Mishimoto radiator

Wow that sucks. Refund it and take a massive dump in the box before shipping it back to them. Make sure it sent to the "engineering team"

Just put the OEM one back in, it performs better anyway.
I might just have to, luckily even though the sensor now has a broken clip, it still fits snug in the factory radiator, only frustration with that is I already put everything except the front bumper back together, but I could still enjoy the aux radiators until they figure out a fix, they told me they’ve never seen anything like this before so lucky me I guess lmao

why we changing the radiator? leaking?
no the stock radiator works fine, they were just having a 50% off sale around Christmas so I got a radiator and both aux coolers package, even though I’m on the stock tune I wanted to be able to push it in the summertime with the AC blowing without risking overheating since I live in Phoenix

for real though lmao, maybe even with a note that says something about CSF being superior.

YOu chose the wrong mods to purchase. OEM is perfect and the shitimotos are much worse.

Stock radiator has been reinstalled, coolant bled and driving with just the Mishimoto aux coolers installed and so far working as expected, still waiting to hear back from Mishimotos engineering team to find out what their plan is
