bruh, the mirrors
I feel the same way. To big, ugly, and plain looking. Doesn't match with the exterior styling at all. I really do believe the ones on the prototypes are not the final units, but just place holders used for testing.

Regarding the side "vents" i have noticed that they are positioned on the doors and NOT where the door closes and meets the rear wheel arch.
So its purely a design element with no functionality (rear brake cooling duct).

I can't describe it....but....the proportions and lines of this car (the camo'd car) don't look as attractive as the FT-1. This is what I hate the most from concept to production cars....they start looking bloated and out of shape. I agree with everyone on the mirrors, get those things off right now!!!

Yup, if the leaks are right its about a foot shorter then the concept. Agree, the mirrors look so out of place.

Are the fake vents just a style effort to make people think the car is sporty? I just don't understand why these would be added to sports cars if most of the people buying these cars are so turned off by them? Or am I completely wrong in assuming that a majority of the people buying sports cars don't care?

To me, this is just as unattractive as grabbing one of those fake hood vents from auto zone and placing it on the hood of a honda civc. No purpose and everybody knows that there is no function or value added?:dunno::puke:

I believe all the vents minus the ones on the doors are functional. Wish the door vents were functional as well given the MKIV had functional side vents. But if there are more fake vents than that just for looks would be really disappointing.

However, the 86 does have fake fender vents so it's not uncommon that Toyota has done this in the past.
