Better question maybe for you who has been around and knows a thing or two. Would you ceramic (cerakote) protect this to help with head reduction like guys do with headers and turbos to improve performance or is there no benefit to doing so on a downpipe?

depends on how you are using the car.

Ceramic coating aids in lowering temperatures, but its impact on real-world results greatly depends on your car usage. If you frequently track your car, the upgrade is a worthy investment. However, the difference might not be noticeable if you use your vehicle for daily commutes or only occasionally take it on the track.

I agree, at this price point Active is the clear choice for most, price this below 1k like at $999+ shipping and you have a product ready to sell!
Is it the best choice even though MST is 6" and MST also claims No CEL? I think AA although tried and true is in that proven category. Doesn't mean something as good or better won't come along, but so many people run AA that it's hard to second guess them. I think this MST with more reviews, data and footage/sound clips can gain the same popularity as AA.

As a vendor who sells a variety of brands, including both of these, I aim to provide an unbiased perspective. In my opinion, Active Autowerke stands out with its benefits and virtually no downsides. The only way one might consider another brand as superior is if they offer all the advantages provided by Active Autowerke, including their guaranteed no Check Engine Light, at a significantly lower price.
However, achieving this would necessitate costly catalytic converters, making it unfeasible to deliver such a product at a significantly lower price.

The crux of the issue is that a no CEL guarantee requires using the "latest" GESI cats or HJS catalytic converters. Brands using generic cats will trigger the CEL reasonably quickly, while those using older generation GESI cats will hold up longer but eventually will trigger the CEL.
This is why they don't offer the same CEL guarantee that Active Autowerke does.

Some brands claim to use the latest GESI cats but without any evidence. Please note that every GESI cat has a serial number on the downpipe, which allows you to verify the version used. If a brand conceals this, it's a red flag you should be wary of.

I might roll the dice on this less trendy downpipe which is what I usually do. Did the same with my ARK DT-S exhaust system. I really wanted the HKS Hi Power but it was on backorder and for a couple hundred dollars less I picked up the ARK full exhaust system and couldn't be happier with the sound and looks. There weren't as many videos and reviews on the ARK as there have been on the HKS and rolled the dice. Might do the same here with the MST Downpipe.
Do you have any sound clips of the dts? I’m interested in it to but not enough YouTube videos for me to pull the trigger on it.

Honestly the phone videos don't do it justice. I can try recording some over the weekend, but I now have an Active Autowerks downpipe as well. It's actually close to the HKS on sound, but less of that throatier deep tone.

I'm definitely curious if this has a deeper tone/growl than other options. Coming from a Miata I am pretty burnt out on the raspy poppy tone of of the 1.8VVT 4 cylinder. So I am looking to make my Supra as deep sounding as possible.

The only guy on YouTube who made a video about it is brosfourspeed and idk if its what he records it with but, compared to the countless AA catted dp videos you see, the aggressive sound and burbles werent crazy on his video. Im leaning towards getting the mst dp as well as it has the largest diameter on the market for this car and in theory turbo spool and exhaust should be a bit louder than with a 4.5 diameter pipe

If you want deep, sticky to AWE, Borla or HKS.
