MST Turbo Inlet Installed Correctly?

Hey all, just wanting to clarify if I installed the MST turbo inlet correctly or not. Attached are pictures of the inlet off of the turbo and on the turbo. I was unsure if it's correctly installed because of that plastic ring that's a little higher than where the inlet actually is currently. I'm not losing boost or anything but I fear that it'll pop off randomly or I'm not at the full potential that the inlet provides. The clamp is secure on it.

Yea that how they install. I’m not a fan of that style where they just throw a silicone coupler over the factory inlet. If you want a plug and play piece that is actually held in with the factory clip grab a CTS inlet.

There is no positive pressure there so as long as it's secure you are good.

Honestly, I was wondering the exact same thing. I ended up just putting mine on my car this evening with the big reinforced silicone coupler. Removing the factory turbo inlet pipe was extremely easy. But getting this to go on and stay on I thought it was quite difficult. Especially after I inserted the aluminum upper pipe the clamp at the turbo inlet (even though it was tight) popped off. After I did that and then I went back to the clamp at the turbo inlet and loosened it and pushed them on as an assembly with both pipes connected. Pushed it as far as I could go and made the hose clamp as soon as possible. It should be okay. It looks a little cramped in that area. The crankcase breather lined up quite well. And I think I shoved the aluminum pipe a little bit further into the silicone coupler and with doing that my filter is actually sitting level versus pointing down at that Bolt. A lot of people have been saying that the filters get damaged and actually rub through because of that Bolt. I'm very well clear of that bolt by at least an inch
