Hello everyone. Although a member of around 5 forums for various cars and motorcycles I've never formally introduced myself on a Forum before for some reason that escapes me but there you go. My primary interest is in the technical stuff. My professional background was as an aircraft engineer and as a hobby and passion I was deeply involved in motorcycle racing/engineering at a local level and some international racing as well. Not as a rider but on the engine building and technical side. So my focus was on motorcycle engineering.
Cars were passion when I was younger but during the family/young kid years bikes were my thing.
Around 2005 I bought myself a enthusiasts car , a Holden Monaro 6 speed, a Pontiac GTO to those States side. That was replaced after 11 years by my first Focus RS MK3 and 12 months later a second one. So now in retirement the Focus is up for sale (with all of it's 6112klms on the clock and literally never seen a wet road) to make way for a Supra as a sunny weekday fun car. Us retirees leave the weekend fun driving to working people to fight it out and we enjoy the quieter week day country cruising and fun roads.
The Supra is one of 3 new cars the wife and I have on order (a Kia Stonic GT for her and a Mazda CX5 GT SP as a daily driver and the Supra)
I still do all my own maintenance on the cars and the bikes I own and the occasional track day on the bikes. None of my vehicles ever see the dealer again after delivery, technically safer that way, I know what happens in the dealer workshops unfortunately.
Every friend I have and have had in my life are involved in either the aviation, automotive or motorcycle engineering worlds. Apologies in advance for the lack of social skills, I'm an engineer

Why did i bought my red 2021' supra? - They body shape! - I'm in love with that long hood, short cabin and the great shaped rear. Maybe it's because i had a BMW Z4 before? No joke!
I already started to convert the supra into a racecar. Why? I love to convert all my cars into track-cars!

Really hard to compare to be honest, the mustang was a stick with full corsa extreme exhaust and 700rwhp and the supra is still stock. It's a little boring for my fun toy secondary car being automatic and quiet but I still love it and is a different level of car over a mustang that everyone has!!! Once I put some real money into her and really when they unlock the ecu it will be great. Also this is the first foreign car I've ever owned and I'm 48!!!
