Not at all actually. Z4M is a bit slower to 60, the handling feels about the same. Maybe heavier steering cause it is hydraulic. M2 was a bit quicker to 60 , definitely felt heavier in the front. But they all feel very close if you are driving them as a daily. M2 is definitely the fastest but it was thirsty. For 40k the 2.0 is a great car. I know the 3.0 is better but for the same condition as mine in this area I would have to spend 8-10k more and thats a lot to justify just using it as an around town pleasure car. Having said that…. I am going to try to get a final edition if one comes out but if I don’t get one I’ll be really happy with this car…. Till the next cause I’m a car addict.. :)
You went from an E86 Z4MC to this?
I hope you didn't sell it

I sold it to buy the M2. I don’t have a property that can house all the cars I have been through. I wish I did. I usually rotate cars every 2-4 years. I like to experience different cars so holding on to the same one limits that unfortunately. I could sell this one and buy another z4mc but I want to experience other cars.. I really hope to get a final edition Supra 3.0 because I love the whole package. I just didn’t couldn’t find a good buy on one in my area.

Bummer on the E86
They can take away my Z4M Roadster along with my dead body

Yeah! It’s one of the greats for sure. I had a 07’ titanium silver with Imola red leather.. it was a great car. The roadsters are an amazing buy. Enjoy.

I'm surprised it felt quicker though these turbo cars nowadays have so much more low end grunt I guess it makes sense plus it's an auto. I currently have a Z4MC and also really want to get a final edition if possible. Hoping more info on it comes out soon.

They are nearly the same on paper but different in some ways. Back when I owned the MCoupe there wasn’t much interest in them like now.. there wasn’t many aftermarket parts. I really loved the searing position in it and most of the looks. Didn’t really like the front bumper so much but it is designed much like the Supra. I think the Supra looks amazing! Aftermarket parts for days and reasonably priced… like you I would have kept the car if I had space for it.

Yeah I jokingly call the Z4MC the first gen BMW Supra, or I sometimes call the MkV Supra the 2nd gen Z4MC. But I’m also not funny, so ??‍♂

The thing the E85 does so much better is steering feel
The hydraulic rack is magical
It is a much more raw mechanical experience driving it as compared to the A90
Things BMW/Toyota have taken away from us enthusiasts, like gear box noise, induction noise and an NA throttle response

I absolutely agree. It is a different car but still a great one at that. I believe people should really try to appreciate the differences in each car because they all bring something to the table. I guess it human nature to pick apart dislikes with each car we own. I can appreciate the 2.0 for what it is. I hope to own a 3.0 within a couple years but I want a special edition not just a base or premium. I really bought the 2.0 to feel the whole thing out before I commit to a 70 k car.. if I can get a final I’ll search down a super low mile Mikan blast 45th. Anyways… enjoy !

I don’t know all the BMW build designations. But I do know we loved all the BMWs we owned in the past (M3 coupe & sedan, X5, and 5 series). This Zupra is the 1st modern BMW we’ve owned post SUV kid life. And love everything about it. Steering feel, weight, low torque grunt & pull, no turbo lag, she’s really hard to fault…. The electronic gremlins is what it is. Come and go (mainly gone now) and not having a dipstick is blasphemous. I obviously got over it pretty quickly after driving her on track ?

For sure… I really do love everything about my 2.0… can’t wait to get the 3.0!

Hello, new member here but I was lurking for a while. The car is a 3.0 Premium, I couldn't find a post on changing the rotors so I thought I'd make one soon since my car hit 20k and is giving me a notification to change pads. I picked up some Carbotech AX6 compound since I was running those on my old Mazdaspeed MX-5 and most of the guys running Turbo ran them, some of them also loved those on their Corvette, not sure if anyone has tried them here, I thought I'd give it a shot. Also, picking up some Ebay Rotors (10 year warranty, our brakes seem to go out at 20k so why not?). Nice to meet y'all. Can someone guide me on how to post pictures?

I ran out of free service for my car so I changed the oil myself last week, fun job, pretty easy. I used the LiquiMolly Top Tech 6600 since it's 0W-20 and I like the gas mileage, I don't plan to upgrade the car too soon and I purchased extended warranty..... I heard changing oil viscosity will void your warranty? IDK so maybe I will go with a thicker oil in the future not sure. Well, this is my first post for starters. I will upload pictures as soon as I know how. Thanks for readin'

Welcome ??
Use the little picture looking icon at the top, next to video and link ? of any message you post - to add a pic. Your rotors & pads should last you a long time if your not driving her too hard.

I found the Supra I wanted, in route to a dealership outside Atlanta (I live in Cape Coral, FL). I called and they sold it to me for MSRP plus dealer fee of just $499. It's due to arrive in the next 7 to 14 days. My local dealer Auto Nation, wanted $10,000 over MSRP and also required I take over $2400 in add-ons, most of which I had no desire to have. I intend to rent a car, drive 600+ miles to Atlanta to get the car and then have fun driving it home! It should look a little like the photo below... at least for a little while.

Congrats man
I dont pay markup on principle
Might be cheaper to fly there and have the dealership sales guy pick you up
I'm sure they'll arrange something
