New owner with steering wheel upgrade

Just got my Supra about two weeks ago and have already put in a new carbon fiber steering wheel. Pain in the ass getting it installed but I got her done. Next I have it booked for PPF and tint. Super happy with this purchase, just killing me to take it easy while I'm breaking in the engine.

I went through the same phase as you man but I gave into the mod bug at 100 miles in lol

I'm thinking about the wheel upgrade too but I hear it's a pita so I haven't done it.

Btw, get a intake, I got the mst and omg..... It's so good.

Now that 1200 miles are done and oil change complete, time to send it!!!

I second the intake suggestion. Being able to hear the turbos is sooo nice. I often turn off my radio when I'm cruising now, just to enjoy the turbo sounds.

That's great, thanks for the link. I put an air intake and tune into my 5.0 Mustang and noticed a big difference in responsiveness so I'm sure I will be upgrading this one soon.

How is it with the flat bottom? Looks great, but I wonder if it becomes an annoyance and bothersome when turning the wheel over.

It was a little strange at the beginning not having the leather all the way around. I noticed the top a bit but not really the flat bottom unless I'm doing a sharp turn, but now that I'm used to it I like it a lot. 90 percent of the time my hands are on the perforated leather and it feels great, way beefier than the original.

Wheel looks great! Literally just did mine on Sunday. It's getting the airbag to release that's always the PITA, but luckily we also have a 340 and have done magnetic paddle shifters on that and the Supra so we were able to get the airbag out in about 5 mins of fiddling with it. The rest was straight forward, much easier than my old Type R.

agreed, having to stab 2 holes in the bottom of the wheel killed me. Regardless of if it's visible or not.
