Newb question for using stuff I have

First post so hopefully don’t get scorched for this question!!

Is it possible to remove shit factory subs, use the 8”openings for a pair of Kicker 3 way speakers for more mid bass than anything and adding a 10” dedicated sub? Have a bunch of audio equip including DSR1 DSP, 2 800 watt 4 channel amps and a 10” Punch PPF4

In layman’s terms what’s Easiest way to do this?? Recommendations?? Have a full Airlift kit going in a few weeks from now and want to get Audio upgraded before Air tank goes in.

Should’ve clarified, definitely used the search function as nauseum, and have already done the port mod. Can I possibly use a harness pre amp to then connect to my amp and DSR1? Or am I gonna have to replace the factory amp? Just trying to figure out easiest method

Check with these guys for harness.

I used them for my BMW X3MC which has the same ID6 as the Supra to install a sub and amp (not positive the amp is the exact same).

@tadda (creator of the port mod) stated he was going to do an amp/sub so check out a thread from him.

If I’m reading correctly it appears the easiest way to add an amp would be going the Mobridge route preamp?? That correct? Or would it make more sense to replace the factory amp with an additional line out to then add secondary amp and sub?

It depends what your goals are and gear. Some speakers you can drop in and replace OEM and then add a amp/sub combo along with the factory amp.
Some speakers will require more power or have different OHM rating and require you to replace the factory amp.

If you want to go the DSP route it’s probably best to get a DSP amp combo and replace the factory amp,.

One word of caution though, keep your OEM amp because some ECU updates/warranty work require you to have the OEM amp installed or the dealer will not be able to perform the update. Lots of people getting the brake/ECU update done recently found this out.

main concern right now is adding an amp and a sub for a bit more thump. Is it possible to put 8” 3 way speakers where factory subs are sort of as mid bass??
