Recently got the car wrapped and noticed that the car will not beep when locking or unlocking.
The alarm unit mounted on the windshield will flash fast for 10seconds and then slow for the remainder of time.
Reading through the manual this states that something has been left open. However, all my doors are closed, windows up, hood closed, trunk closed, and fuel lid closed. No open signs on the cluster either.
Anyone got ideas on what I should look at?

Check your emergency trunk latch. Thatā€™s been known to cause that issue.

Thatā€™s not a bad thingā€¦ one of the first things I eliminated with BimmerCode. I canā€™t stand the ā€˜look at meā€™ noise when locking and unlocking the car. I can watch the mirrors fold in to confirm.

Hondas are the worst blowing the damn horn when locking the car. Annoying.

Understanding this wasnā€™t the intent in your case.

Checked the emergency latch and itā€™s secure. Also lowered the trunk knobs.
Issue still occurs. The alarm light blinks fast for 10s and then goes slow. So it detecting something is open but no warning signs on the dash..

Possible only one side of the hood is fully latched? Not sure if having only one side latched is enough to not show in the cluster.

Hood is fully latched.

Anyone know where the hood open sensor is?

I'll look through and see. MA have been in bimmer code. But I don't think so
That is something that would need done in BimmerCode first. What he is describing is exactly what mine does when I have my hood latched in the ā€œfirstā€ position for my tender. It definitely thinks something is left open somewhere.

Does anyone know where the hood switch would be? Anyone has exploded diagrams for this car?

The car went to the dealer and their service portal was down so they could not diagnose it. Apparently, the GR tech rotates around and won't be back at the dealer for about 4-6 weeks..

Toyota Canada and Dealer have yet to get in contact with me, left voicemails..

Starting to think the following tilt sensor may have been left unplugged if it's located in the bumper.

The image points to the trunk lid but would like to know if anyone knows where exactly this component is located.

My car from April 2022 never bipped (thanks god šŸ˜… ) but it's a german version. Maybe 2022 don't beep anymore?
