Tested and working on multiple gen 2 B58s, both BMW variants and Supra variants.
See attached images below. Credits to Jonathan Tuite. This setup simulates what the "cat simulator" does for the armytrix and kenjiworx downpipes. Other spacers do not work due to how sensitive the DME is to the O2 temperature and resistance. Other spacers will trigger "internal resistance too high" codes due to the O2 not being in the direct exhaust stream.

It's fine. A typical catalyst brick has a porosity of 70-80%, or in other words a total blocked area of 20-30%. Plus, the reaction generates more additional volume of gas coming out than goes in, which increases pressure drop even further.

I don't trust that the spacer will stay in place for too long, though.

Well I'll subscribe to this.
I've been testing a Alibaba one for a month now. It's been working great but does require a little bit of work.
1. Warming up the car
2. Driving a grandma for about 5 mins
3. Making sure you in normal mode for that 5 mins.

I want to see how much I can refine the setup in 6 months.
Cost has been $2.50 (before tarrifs)
