OEM rear brake pads worn in less than 25k miles (40k km)

Comparing my 25k miles rear pads with new ones...

In my opinion , the pads seems to be worn out. But I don't know why it happened with so few miles taking in mind that the front brake pads and tires are ok...

If the rotors aren’t significantly worn & driving in town, I’d keep driving on them. Click the nanny button just once & try driving that way. That‘ll stop those rear brakes from grabbing all the time. It’s incredibly over aggressive imo.

might have just been the timed brake service reminder/nag. If you truly cut the sensor it puts you in a limp mode.

It still remains 3 or 4 millimiters.

Sorry I had a brain fart I guess and read your rear pads were gone after 40 miles...

Your pad wear looks great honestly, mine look like shit because of track use.
They would also look worse if you had a a blocked cylinder (which would be weird on a new car).

Is your shop (or yourself??) famous for doing crazy burnouts?
Otherwise I have no clue honestly

It was reviewed by the dealer and there were no malfuction or failure, so I suppose that it may be normal depending on the way you drive.
The dealer said that front pads were at middle life, so , taking in mind that rear pads are smaller than front pads I think that maybe is normal that they run out earlier

Find a good mechanic, get their opinion & possibly new rear pads. You can always watch them. Again, the rears should last longer than the fronts.
