Not I or anyone else that I can see has ever said it has to be one or the other just that the addition of an oil dipstick would be useful/handy. You are the only one that I can see that seems to think it must be exclusively one or the other.
The future also has a habit of reinventing what's already been done before and calling it "new" in my experience.

Why did you edit your post? I enjoyed your original super long yell at the clouds ranty version where you also stated I don’t actually work on my cars and I’m in the 1%. That part had me chuckling.

Also, by your original post, I can tell you don't even know you can measure the oil level with millimeter accuracy cold, warm, hot, in real time driving down the street, on the track, whenever you want. So once again, you are getting your knickers in a bunch around something you don't even know the full picture of.

I really like colourful squiggly lines too. But not as much as an oily mark on a metal strip. :thumbsup:
