My guy at the dealer called today - "We might be able to get you an MT 3.0 Premium in STRATOSPHERE BLUE.. Would you be interested?"

I hadn't considered this color because the images on the Toyota build site and elsewhere are not a good representation. So I was waiting for either, a Grey A91 / Black or White A90.. But after checking out all the pics on this thread I told my guy to get some #'s together.. I'm in, that is a beautiful color!

It's way better in real life. It's a really hard color to capture accurately in photos.

Newb here....I'm currently waiting for my '23 Stratosphere Blue 3.0 premium to make it's way over shores...But I noticed something...Did toyota update the D13 color code from being called Stratosphere Blue to Dawn Blue Metallic?

The dealer site shows this as the color name now for some reason...

Dawn Blue is another name for Stratosphere/Portimao that was used in other markets. Not sure why a dealer in FL is using that.

Hard to tell though. The buyers order for my car had Portimao listed rather than Stratosphere.

For anyone else that has the problem of this color always showing as a completely different shade of blue in phone pictures, there is a setting in Google photos under edit > adjust > blue tone that you can use to mostly fix the difference. Set it to -20 to -30 and the blue shows a lot closer to real life.

Edit: You can do basically the same thing with photoshop by going to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation > Change the dropdown to Blues and adjust saturation from there.

These were taken on an iPhone 13 Pro but based on others pictures here it looks like a lot of phone cameras struggle to get this color right.

Got a new iPhone so I took a picture of my high rider. I think it’s better than my old android in terms of photo quality. This is default iPhone 14 setting.

Good to know. The funny thing is the next problem is how people's monitors or phones are calibrated and whether that will accurately display the color. On my computer monitor your before picture actually more closely resembles how my car looks.

Yeah that might not have been the best picture to demonstrate but on every photo I have on my phone, those settings look closer to real life.

The iPhone tends to way oversaturate the blue and hides the silvery/lighter blue flake in the paint.

Picked up my '23 3.0 Premium in Stratosphere blue yesterday after a 3 month wait. Drove 750+ miles from FL to TN to get it. Immediately headed down to Tail of the Dragon, did a run with 160 miles on the odo then to our destination for the next few days. Love this car already.
