Oil Wear Message

Got a vehicle status message pop up saying its unable to calculate oil wear. I can still do the oil level check and its perfectly fine. Would this be a bad sensor of some sort?

Yea, happened when I first installed MHD+. Goes away after a few car cycles.

Thank you for the response!!??. i just recently flashed mhd+ aswell and iam experiencing this issue a couple times. it went away, however it came back last night. i will check it again today.

It showed up 2 or 3 times when I was first flashing a lot to get setting squared away and what not but its always went away after a few cycles and has never returned

just like what he said, just drive it a couple cycle it will go away . dont have your obd plugged unless you are tunning it or else your car alarm and the car will act funny. everyime you flash a new map this problem will arise. after a couple cycle and updates and flashing it went away

I know I’m bad at not reading pages of a thread but even I can read a few lines below the 1st question ?. MDH unrelated, I get BMW infotainment messages all the time when she’s feeling finicky. If the car notices anything off at all - message or alert ?. Or… if she just wants to, message or alert ?. I drive on and viola ? Problem solved. Most of the time… If the car goes into limp mode, anyone smells smoke or feels something off, then absolutely check it out. But most of these “things“, you drive them off.

Lastly, anyone have a good BMW mechanic that reassures you when these kinda things happen? It sure made me feel better in the begging hearing it’s a BMW thang & gonna be okay ?
