I only drive my Supra on dry weekend days so I have not actually used a hose to wash my car, only QD (quick detailer spray). When driven over puddles I use waterless wash from Griots.

As for the wheels I clean them after every 2 drives with QD. If iSweep ever releases brake pads for our cars, I'd get a set as their pads are very low dust yet excellent bite.
How does waterless washing work with getting all the bugs off?

Waterless is basically QD with super lubricity. Spray, let it soak a few seconds, then wipe.. preferably in one direction top to bottom. Bugs will require a little scrubbing but if you are careful and use a clean area of your towel, no swirls or hazing. Just use common sense.

for anyone who wants to take their car cleaning or garage setups to the next level.... be sure to check out Obsessed Garage on YouTube. Matt is really out here providing content and solutions for those of us who are truly obsessed/ocd about our cars and garages.
Matt is indeed obsessive compulsive and will only sell quality high end materials and equipment. I have yet to buy from him but his appreciation of one item, Beadmaker, is contagious and I've started to use that. I'm not promoting, just sharing a good experience.

I prefer water with plenty of car shampoo for publicity and preserving finish against micro scratching for a really dirty car.
We have lots of dust here in the DFW area and that gives peace of mind.
Quick detailers have their place. I sometimes use it to remove bugs by qd spraying, allowing a soak and gently removing with microfiber towels.

I'm with you. I would be terrified to use an ONR on a dry vehicle.

I can see using them for cleaning door jams or under the hood but not the exterior paint.

You folks use whatever is most comfortable for you. I've been using these products for decades and have not had issue with hazing or swirls. One does need to use common sense to use a clean section of the towel... and use product liberally. That's about it. No rocket science. I would not know how to start a rocket engine.

Just expressing a preference here, not disagreeing. Theres a demand for waterless and rinse less and lots of reviews on youtube detailing channels.
Your experience shows it works for you. ?

In fact. I'd like to know more. Theres lots if times I have light dust on my cars, kept under my carport when I want to do some paint preserving add some shine and weather or my energy level isnt right, I've thought this might be another way to clean.
Would you like to share what works with waterless? Might be helpful.

Huh I didn't mean to sound biotchy, but I suppose I did sound as if I was wearing my underwear backwards. I wouldn't know never tried.

I use the Griots SprayOn Car Wash and plush MF towels . Basically spray liberally, let it soak a moment, then wipe off in one direction using the clean area of the towel. I usually follow up with a QD application afterwards. You can use on glass too, then finish cleaning the glass with your favorite glass cleaner.

I think I'll try this. Makes sense using plush and wiping in one direction. But first Ill have a couple coats of sealant like Last Coat or Turtlewax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating as a base.
Thanks, puzzled. Like your style. ??
