I was looking to replace my rear pads and noticed that the actuator housing was chipped from having made contact with the rear control arm from back when I was lowered. The parking brake warning had come on with code 480818. I believe that swapping the actuator should do the trick -- anything I should know when doing this? Does this need to get coded to the control unit or anything?

The e brake motors are just held with some hex bolts. Nothing fancy about it, and no coding required. The e brake motors are specific to g20 with m sport/supra/z4 calipers. Other G chassis BMWs have rear brakes manufactured by TRW and are not compatible with the Mando manufactured calipers on the Supra.

I have e brake motors from when I upgraded the rears if you’re interested.
