Just a thought, but maybe everyone should post how much they paid for their 1st car. I would be interested in seeing the range of the most expensive to the cheapest.

Cool idea. I'll jump in, my '65 Chevy II (post #39) cost me $250 in 1974 dollars. Wished I still had that car.

I'll play too. It looked a lot nicer when I got it, but you guys know how black paint goes. And yes, mom and dad brought it for me as a high school graduation gift in 2008 and I used it for most of my college years as well. It had 82k on it when I first got it and ended up dumping it around 132k. Took this pic for the sales ad. Sold it to some guy online for $800 back in 2014.
