Hello all,

I was able to find a Supra finally near me and I pulled the trigger on it. 2021 3.0 base with 7.5k on the odometer. It has an HKS dual exhaust and a HKS intake on it. It also has a tuneable ecu, pre 6/20. My question is with this car do you not need a tune for an intake and exhaust? On Subarus if you put a sticker on it, you need to retune them. Just wanting to make sure. Not a huge fan of the rose gold wrap but underneath the wrap is is absolute zero.

I do plan to tune it eventually but I’m hoping I still have some warranty coverage with the above parts being installed. Not sure how warranties transfer.

thanks in advance

Intake: no, as was said above, the B58 uses speed density for fueling, no worries about an intake changing air flow patterns and screwing up the fueling like with a MAF.

Catback: no, nothing to be gained or change with a tune.

Downpipe: kinda, you don’t need a tune for the car to run correctly, but you need one to make any power from it.

Wrap is sick.
It’s growing on me a bit. Pink would not have been my choice but hey it is what it is haha. Super excited hope I don’t have any oil burning issues.. wanted a 2020 but this was all I had locally. He said he has not had any issues whatsoever and seemingly a trust worth guy.

Eventually I will read into tuning and figure out what it takes on this platform. I’m not familiar with ecutek tuning at this point.

I’m not sure as the owner has sold the aftermarket wheels. I can ask him tomorrow when I pick it up. ??
Just curious because I was going to say that I think you’d like the wrap a lot more if the wheels complemented it. A matte/satin/gloss black could really transform the look instead of the two tone wheels on that body color.

The previous owner seemed to agree with that sentiment.

There are cheap ways to make your stock wheels all black.

Most colors are about the same price. Black just looks best... Find a powder coater that does Prismatic and you can pick from a billion colors.

Yea I think that rosegold is going to look real nice with black wheels. Have to imagine that wrap was a pretty penny. The stock twotone wheels just make anything look worse. Still don’t understand why Toyota thought that was a good look.
