Ok boys, so I’m back with more woes.

long story short, I took my car in for a trans fluid change because it was slightly shuddering from the 4th-5th shift off throttle, but was fine on throttle.

well when the tech drained the oil, he found tons of metal shavings in the pan. Which he says aren’t good.

I got the trans in the car at 4k miles, and now it currently has 9k, and the car wasn’t anywhere neto the power limit of the stage 1 trans.
And followed the break in properly for 500miles.

tech says to refill/overfill trans and reset adaptations to see how it responds.

Also emailed pure to see what they recommend.

but I’m so confused and disappointed on how this could have happened. I’m genuinely at loss for words.

I figured. I’m just venting I guess
Following. I’m so sorry for you but remember this. If it’s man made it can fail. Give Pure a chance to make it right.
Chris already hit me up, said trans will produce considerable amount of metal flakes on break in.
So that’s certainly puts me at ease.
Change of fluid is underway, we’ll see how it reacts after that.

I'm sure a mechanic knows way more than me, but I thought it wasn't a good idea to overfill the ZF autos and they usually had a particular fluid change procedure. Like, fill until oil runs out fill plug, turn on car and run through park, reverse, 1st, 2nd while parked, let transmission get to like 140 degrees F, and then open fill plug and let excess fluid dribble out.

honestly have no clue, you probably know more than me. I’ll ask him, just to be sure.

I had the same thing with a rebuilt pro charger I had on a truck years ago. That supercharger was great for years and years. Just document everything you do and see to cover your bases and just roll with it. Pure has a great reputation and I’m sure they want to keep it.
